Wool Testing

Classings Wool Testing Service has been in operation since 1972 and has been using CSIRO’s Laserscan extensively since 1996 under the management of Rose Walker and staff.

Since Rose’s departure from the Laboratory after a stellar 30+ years, Lab Manager, Rebecca Hughes has taken up that role with gusto and has been a huge influence in keeping the rudder fully aligned!

The Laserscan added another dimension to the business with the additional measurements produced and the subsequent interpretation of these on flowing to clients as a means to the betterment of their flocks regarding production and quality.

Classings Lab tests samples from all over the nation including merino, alpaca, mohair and angora.
